Three weeks old!

The last three weeks have gone by so quickly, I can't believe it. At the same time, I can hardly remember, or imagine really, life without our little Sophia. She is doing so well, growing and changing every day. On her last weigh in, she was up to 6 pounds, 2 ounces! We have been so blessed to have family here to help out in these early days when sleep is scarce and days sometimes a blur. James' parents arrived on the 8th, her due date. She was already here of course. The rest of the Wongs arrived the next week, and have all been great! And of course my mom, or Mimi as she is now named, has been a great help as well. I don't know what I'd do without such a wonderful family.
Sophia is a great baby. They aren't kidding when they say all they do is eat, sleep and poo! When she is awake, her eyes are wide open and she takes everything in. She holds her head up really high and stares. She always seems to have a worried look on her face, it's really funny! She makes some great faces! I can't wait until she can make them on purpose! She sounds like a kitten when she's fussing and a piggy when she's mad. Yes, she snorts...a lot! It's cute, at least we think so.
My days are currently ruled by feeding, which is getting a bit easier and more predictable by the day. I never knew it was such a job, some days it's all I do. But it's time I get to spend holding and cuddling my beautiful baby, so who can complain? I can't wait for everyone to meet her. She is the best and every second I am not holding her I wish I were! My aunt Michelle took some photos of her and has a slide show posted. Please click here to view it. It is adorable, I have watched it about 100 times! If you would like to order any photos, please visit the pictage site. They are having a 2 for 1 sale until July 22nd.

Happy Birthday Sophia!

Isn't she lovely?
She's about 20 minutes old here!

We are so proud to say that Sophia Elena Wong was born on Tuesday, June 3rd at 2:10 pm. She is such a miracle and we couldn't be happier. I went into labor early Tuesday morning and she was born later that afternoon at San Antonio Hospital in Upland. She weighed 5 pounds, 10 ounces and was 17 and a half inches long. James and my mom were the most amazing coaches I could have asked for. I really don't think I could have done it without their support and encouragement. And let me say thank goodness for Lamaze, because I don't think I could have handled it without that either! I didn't get an epidural in the end, partly because I was worried about the side effects, and partly because of possible complications due to my back surgery.
In the end I was glad to have done it naturally. It was the most amazingly beautiful experience of my life and wouldn't have wanted anything to mask it or make my memory falter. James and I are the luckiest people to have such a happy, healthy and beautiful baby girl. We are looking forward to getting to know her and sharing our lives with her. We just can't believe she's here and she's ours!! She is our little treasure!
